Automotive education has significantly evolved due to technological advancements and industry demands, requiring innovative methodologies to prepare students. This article analyzes key pedagogical strategies in teaching automotive mechanics, highlighting their impact on practical and effective learning. Project-Based Learning (PBL) stands out as an essential methodology, allowing students to work on real-world projects and apply theoretical knowledge. This approach fosters critical skills such as problem-solving and teamwork, mirroring industry challenges. Similarly, collaborative learning reinforces cooperation and communication as students work in groups to solve problems and share knowledge. Digital technologies have also transformed automotive education. Distance learning and online resources facilitate access to educational materials, enabling students to tailor their study pace. Virtual simulations and practical workshops complement this approach by offering safe environments to develop mechanical skills and apply knowledge in real-world contexts. This essay explores the potential of combining theory and practice as a fundamental axis for training competent professionals. Additionally, it reflects on the use of formative assessments instead of traditional exams, enabling the identification of improvement areas and the personalization of teaching. These pedagogical strategies ensure that students are better prepared to face the challenges of the automotive sector.
