Retraction: “The role of cyber expertise and other types of examinations in solving cybercrime cases”

Affected article: Anorboyev, A. (2025). “The role of cyber expertise and other types of examinations in solving cybercrime cases”. YUYAY: Estrategias, Metodologías & Didácticas Educativas, 5(3), 1–15. https://doi.org/10.59343/yuyay.v5i3.126.

YUYAY’s External Editorial Committee identified substantial overlap between the article published by the journal and other publications by the same author addressing the same subject. Following a documentary and comparative review, it recommended retraction. The Content Curator validated the review record on 5 August 2026 and implemented the recommendation under resolution JLA-ED-YUYAY-CE-2026-002-I. On this basis, YUYAY’s Editorial and Scientific Committee issues this notice.

The review compared authorship, publication dates, the study’s approach, substantive arguments, the proposed classification of cyber expertise, conclusions, and bibliographic sources across the available versions. Substantial overlap was identified with the work published in Aequitas Magazine on 8 October 2025, before the YUYAY article’s stated publication date of 30 November 2025. A subsequent publication in the Multicore International Journal of Multidisciplinary was also examined. Similarity of topic or title alone was not treated as sufficient evidence.

The author was contacted on 12 January and 18 February 2026. The External Editorial Committee’s first deliberation is recorded as YUYAY-CCE-2026-011, dated 3 March 2026. Following validation of the review record, a further notice inviting clarification was sent to the author by email. By the official notification of 29 September 2026, 30 working days had elapsed without a response, according to the editorial record. The absence of a response is reported as a procedural fact and is not treated as evidence of intent.

The redundant publication identified is inconsistent with YUYAY’s requirement for original, unpublished submissions. The Editorial and Scientific Committee therefore resolves to retract the version published in YUYAY to correct the scholarly record. This decision does not determine the editorial status of publications hosted by other journals. The original article and its DOI will remain accessible, prominently marked RETRACTED, and linked to this notice.

Publications examined: Aequitas Magazine; Multicore International Journal of Multidisciplinary.

The digital transformation of education has moved beyond the mere adoption of technological tools, evolving into a complex ecosystem that fundamentally redefines the core of teaching and learning. In this special issue of the YUYAY Scientific Journal, titled "Perspectivas, abordagens e reflexões sobre a prática educacional digital," we open a multidisciplinary space for dialogue that critically analyzes the profound intersection between pedagogical innovation and emerging technologies.

As guest coordinator from the Universidad de Guadalajara, I am deeply proud to present the research community with a carefully curated selection of papers addressing how contemporary virtual environments demand new teaching competencies and methodologies. Today more than ever, within instructional design, it is vital to pay close attention to how the educator aligns the sessions with the learning outcomes (LO), contents, and bibliography of the academic syllabus, ensuring that technology always acts as a facilitating bridge rather than an obstacle or an end in itself.

This special issue also reflects on the ethical integration of artificial intelligence, the advanced design of modern learning ecosystems, and didactic strategies that respond directly to the demands of a highly globalized world. Through empirical studies and essays of high scientific rigor, it is demonstrated that successful digital educational practice requires solid pedagogical foundations. We invite our readers to immerse themselves in these pages, hoping that the shared findings will inspire new pathways to continuously strengthen the quality and equity of higher education.
