Synopsis

There is a close relationship between investment in education, coverage and effectiveness, learning acquired and immersion in the labour market. The countries of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) have currently achieved almost total coverage in primary education, eliminating the difference between boys and girls with respect to economic level (Arias et al., 2023; Huepe, 2024; Näslund-Hadley & Alonzo, 2024), however, as educational levels advance, the gaps increase, which means that access to secondary and tertiary education is even more complex in the region, however, investing in education is essential to guarantee greater labor inclusion, this term refers to labor insertion in good quality jobs.
