EDITORIAL NOTICE

Declaration of an unfilled issue and rescheduling of Volume 6, Issue 1

YUYAY: Strategies, Methodologies & Educational Didactics informs the academic community that the issue scheduled for March 31, 2026, has been declared unfilled.

The decision concerns the thematic call published on January 30, 2026:

Education in the Algorithmic Era: Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Economies, Technical Sciences, and the Geopolitics of Knowledge Production

The journal was unable to consolidate a sufficient body of articles that fully met its documentary, methodological, ethical, and scientific requirements.

The editorial review identified incomplete submission files, deficiencies in the traceability of data and references, methodological inconsistencies, and, in a significant proportion of submissions, intensive or insufficiently disclosed use of generative artificial intelligence.

The journal clarifies that the use of artificial intelligence does not, in itself, constitute an ethical violation. However, such use must be disclosed, delimited, and supervised by the authors, who retain full responsibility for the manuscript. According to the Committee on Publication Ethics, artificial intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors or assume responsibility for the accuracy, originality, or integrity of scholarly content (COPE, 2023).

This declaration does not constitute a collective allegation against the participating authors and does not interrupt the journal’s editorial continuity. Individual decisions will be communicated confidentially through the journal’s official channels.

The numbering established for 2026 will be maintained. Consequently, the first effective issue will be published on:

June 30, 2026

under the identification:

Volume 6, Issue 1, January–June 2026

The issue will be coordinated by:

Dr. Javier Gonzalo Rodríguez Ruiz
Department of Economics
University Center for Economic and Administrative Sciences — CUCEA
University of Guadalajara, Mexico

The journal will strengthen document verification, disclosure of artificial-intelligence use, source and data verification, responsible authorship, and complaints and appeals procedures, in accordance with COPE’s core practices and transparency principles.

YUYAY reaffirms that publication frequency cannot take precedence over research integrity.

The digital transformation of education has moved beyond the mere adoption of technological tools, evolving into a complex ecosystem that fundamentally redefines the core of teaching and learning. In this special issue of the YUYAY Scientific Journal, titled "Perspectivas, abordagens e reflexões sobre a prática educacional digital," we open a multidisciplinary space for dialogue that critically analyzes the profound intersection between pedagogical innovation and emerging technologies.

As guest coordinator from the Universidad de Guadalajara, I am deeply proud to present the research community with a carefully curated selection of papers addressing how contemporary virtual environments demand new teaching competencies and methodologies. Today more than ever, within instructional design, it is vital to pay close attention to how the educator aligns the sessions with the learning outcomes (LO), contents, and bibliography of the academic syllabus, ensuring that technology always acts as a facilitating bridge rather than an obstacle or an end in itself.

This special issue also reflects on the ethical integration of artificial intelligence, the advanced design of modern learning ecosystems, and didactic strategies that respond directly to the demands of a highly globalized world. Through empirical studies and essays of high scientific rigor, it is demonstrated that successful digital educational practice requires solid pedagogical foundations. We invite our readers to immerse themselves in these pages, hoping that the shared findings will inspire new pathways to continuously strengthen the quality and equity of higher education.
